Chocolate chip baked oats
With cooler mornings on the way, try this chocolatey breakfast recipe for a perfect winter warmer

Ingredients

100g Honest Value porridge oats
1 banana
1 egg
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
150ml local milk
6 squares Fairtrade milk chocolate
2 chocolate chip cookies

Method

1. Set your oven at 180 degrees (160 for fan).

2. Add the oats, banana, egg, honey, cinnamon, baking powder and milk to a blender and blend until smooth

3. Pour the mixture into two oven-safe ramekins. Push two squares of chocolate into each mixture so they are fully covered

4. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Whilst this is cooking, chop up the remaining chocolate squares and crush up the two cookies

5. Take out of the oven and add the chopped chocolate and cookies over the top of the oats

Tips

The addition of chocolate chips makes this dish oat-ally awesome.
